Meghan Machon Wedding

This past month I have been working on the wedding jewelry for Meghan Machon. She is a sweet girl who went to U of I and getting married this weekend! She had me design necklaces for her bridesmaids and bracelets for her mom and the groom's mom. The blue necklaces are for the two maid's of honor and the green ones for the bridesmaids. Shown here are just a couple of the necklaces since some of them were a lot alike.

Thyme

My sister recently commissioned me to make a necklace for her daughter's dance teacher as a thank you gift. All she told me was that she wanted it to be artsy because the teacher was of course, artsy. This is what I came up with! I used a vintage flower pin, but it had no holes to attach to the strand so I had to improvise. I think it turned out really artsy if I do say so myself! Tell me what you think!

Another Wedding!

Well it has been a long time since I have updated this blog. One of the reasons is because I had a baby and I have been a little preoccupied! Here is my sweet babe! He is my joy!

But, that doesn't mean that I haven't been working. I have focusing my efforts on another one of my friend's wedding! She will remain nameless incase some of her attendants are reading this! ;) She ordered necklaces for the bridesmaids and bracelets for the house party, and then matching earrings for both. I have not photographed the earrings but I wanted to mention it so that you readers can know that I make earrings as well! Here are the photos of the necklaces! Jessie

This piece was hand-picked by my cousin. She came to me on a Thursday and asked if I could have a necklace done by Saturday. I said yes of course! We met up and went to an antique store to find something that she liked. She picked this beautiful teal flower! She then picked black beads to accompany the flower which I thought helped it really pop out very well. I used my trademark ribbon clasp, but she wanted it longer, which looked great too! It is now officially the beginning of the Christmas season in my book! I love Christmas time, but I am not one to start celebrating it before Thanksgiving. A Fall Wedding!

This wedding jewelry is long overdue. I made the jewelry back in August, but being a teacher and having the school year start, I got a little preoccupied. But, better late than never right! So, here are the pics of the jewelry I made for both the bride and then for the bridesmaids. They were made to match a rust colored dress.

Weddings!

Ok so it has been a really long time since I have posted anything! Things have been busy! I wanted to put the word out there that I now am doing wedding jewelry and accessories. I recently had the opportunity to design and make jewelry for my best friend's wedding. It was so fun and artsy. All of the necklaces were different. The pieces of jewelry were from her grandmother's old jewelry, so it was special for her to wear and have as a keepsake.

But, I do have some of my own pictures to post of the jewelry pieces. These were made to match an olive colored dress. Each dress was different so I tried to match the dress, as well as each girls' personality. The first necklace is the bride's necklace, and then the ones that follow are the bridesmaids. Olive

Olive is a beautiful, elegant necklace. I found this pair of really pretty green vintage earrings that just popped out at me at the antique store. I just couldn't pass them up! I strung one of them with two different strands of the same green color seed beads, and then also another strand of antique pearls. The pendant earring really pops out and draws you in for a look. It is really unlike anything that I have ever seen and is very unique.
