Kathy

I know that it seems like a long time since I have posted a necklace.  I have had more personal orders lately, instead of just creating on my own.  I really do enjoy both.  This necklace actually I had in mind of making, but before I could make it I had a friend who asked me if I had anything made in red.  I quickly made this one because I knew that she would like it!  I sometimes come across inspiration when I am in different stores, looking at lots of different jewelry, and that's where I got my inspiration for this necklace.  It is just tiny red and light blue beads randomly on three different strands.  Then I braided the three strands together.  I made the earrings exactly the same way.  This set of jewelry was $30, plus shipping.  I can make a necklace like this in any two colors you would want! Let me know if you are interested in a necklace like Kathy!  tallymj@gmail.com

Lorelai

There is a new favorite in town!! As I mentioned in my previous post, I recently got this really great jewelry book. Lorelai is another one of my creations inspired by this book. I found a pair of antique earrings from this shop nearby, and created an necklace around them! The earring pendants are multi-colored beads strung together into a cluster. I then strung a mixture of amber, brown, red, and orange beads, along with gold chain, and attached them to the pendants. This is by far the most unique necklace that I have made.

Like I said, this is my new favorite. I just love that it is so colorful and bright. I think that it would look great with an evening gown, as well as jeans. I'm not quite sure if I am ready to part with this one just yet, but if you are interested in Lorelai you can email me at tallymj@gmail.com.

Jasmine

A good couple friend of ours gave me a great gift for my birthday... a jewelry book! I was so excited because I got a lot of cool new ideas for necklaces. I was definitely inspired! Jasmine is one of my creations inspired by this book. It is a pretty simple necklace. It is a longer gold chain with two amber colored beads dangling. It is a great, simple addition to any outfit! A Total Re-Vamp

This past weekend my mother-in-law gave me an old necklace of her mom's to "re-vamp." I was excited to take a big, chunky, not too dainty looking necklace and make it into something really pretty and elegant. I wish I had taken a before picture for you! The necklace started as a three tier, brown necklace, and I was actually able to take it apart and make three separate necklaces. Here is what I came up with!

With this last one, I also had an antique broach that I attached and made it part of the necklace. I think that it really went together really well!

I have really had a great time revamping these necklaces. Starr

Starr is a very unique necklace! When you look at it, sometimes the beads look gold, and sometimes they look silver. They are very detailed. The necklace is strung with the antiquey gold/silver beads on rods, and black beads on rods. Basically, this is a very hard necklace to describe, so I will just let you look at the pictures!

Maria is the start of a whole new side of my jewelry! I am now branching into using different types of Gold beads and accessories. Anna

I was with a friend this past weekend and I really loved the necklace that she was wearing! So, I decided to see if I could find the materials that I needed to make one like it. I found the exact thing! Anna has a classic look to her. It is simply gold chain, with small gold discs intermittently attached. Chel Belle

This necklace is truly a rare treasure. I named this necklace Chel Belle because it reminds me of my sister Chelsea. Her favorite color is the yellow color found in these beads. She too is a rare treasure! I was at an antique store this last weekend, and found these really great beads. The beads are yellow and an orangey-gold color. These beads must be very old! I have taken the necklace that I found, and re-strung the beads and added a new clasp. It is an extremely long necklace, definitely made to wrap around twice, if not three times. I have them both pictured.
